How to Embed Substack Newsletter on Shopify: A Simple Guide
Substack is where a lot of coaches, trainers and writers keep their audience. With EmbedAny you can bring that writing into your Shopify store by pasting a link and making it italic. No code and nothing to configure.
EmbedAny understands three kinds of Substack links:
- Your publication, like https://yourname.substack.com, becomes a full blog feed
- A single post, like https://yourname.substack.com/p/post-title, becomes a post card
- Your signup form, https://yourname.substack.com/embed, becomes an email signup box
On a custom domain, use your yourname.substack.com address instead.
Step 1: Install EmbedAny
- Go to EmbedAny on the Shopify App Store
- Click “Add app” and follow the prompts
- The app starts working as soon as it is installed
Step 2: Paste the link and make it italic
- Open the page, product or blog post where you want the embed
- Paste the Substack link
- Select it and press Ctrl+I (Cmd+I on Mac) to make it italic
- Save

Use your Substack as your store blog
If you already write on Substack, you do not need to run a separate Shopify blog. Create a page under Online Store > Pages, paste your publication link, make it italic and save. Your whole feed appears on the page, and it stays current on its own as you publish new issues.

Embed a single post
Paste a post link when you want to point people at one specific piece of writing, for example inside a related blog post. The post shows up as a card with its image, subtitle and a Read on Substack button.

Grow your subscriber list
Paste your signup link, yourname.substack.com/embed, to put an email box anywhere on your store. Visitors can subscribe without leaving the page.

Once you have done this for Substack you know the whole app. The same italic trick works with more than 800 other platforms.
